A FRESH PAIR OF EYES

About Aijev and Jev AI Image Tools

A fresh perspective on your images, with direct visual input to Jev.

Aijev offers free Jev AI image tools for comparing pictures, choosing photos, and assessing an image’s origin. Using native image input supported by Jev 1.14.0, it sends your prepared images directly to Jev and brings the decision, probabilities, and confidence back to you.

You can also assess one image’s origin with the AI image detector, a visual reference for signs of AI generation or substantive manipulation.

A small pause between two possibilities: that is where Aijev fits.

A second opinion for everyday choices

Choosing an image can take longer than making it. Two product shots may show the same object with different backgrounds. Two portraits may have similar framing but a different expression. Two poster designs may communicate the same message in different ways. Once you have looked at both for a while, it is easy to keep going back and forth.

Aijev gives that moment a simple structure: image A, image B, and a subjective second opinion. The purpose is to help you move a decision forward while leaving room for your taste, audience, and judgment.

Made for people with a pair to choose from

Photographers can compare two frames while narrowing a selection. Shop owners can review two candidate listing images. Designers can put two visual directions beside each other, and social media creators can consider two images before posting.

These are starting points for a conversation with your own work. Aijev does not test which image will convert or predict engagement. You can describe a client's brief in the optional custom prompt and bring those requirements to your final choice. The photo comparison guide offers practical ways to review a pair.

What happens inside a comparison

The Jev tool accepts two static JPEG, PNG, or WebP images, up to 5 MiB each. Your browser corrects orientation, resizes the full image without cropping, and prepares a PNG copy for each slot. Very wide or tall images may receive transparent padding. The previews show the images that will be sent; selecting a file does not upload it.

When you start a comparison, Jev receives both prepared images directly at TypeSafe and chooses image A, image B, a tie, or insufficient information. The result shows a probability for each outcome and a confidence value. These numbers describe the decision; they are not grades for image quality.

Jev image input is experimental. It can miss details, and another comparison may return a different answer. The tool does not generate separate descriptions or a written rationale. Our AI image comparison guide explains this process and its limits in more detail.

Jev offers eight comparison goals, with General selected by default, and an optional custom prompt of up to 2,000 characters that overrides the selected goal. Changing the goal, prompt, or images cancels the current comparison and clears its result.

THE SAVED VERDICT

Jev picked image B: the bedroom portrait.

Jev evaluated both image inputs together and selected the bedroom portrait. The displayed probability and confidence values describe this recorded decision. Different criteria, image order, or another run can change the result.

For this decision, Jev reported 63.0% selection probability and 0.51 / 1 confidence. These values do not grade image quality. Another run may differ.

A visual assessment of one image’s origin

The AI image detector accepts one static JPEG, PNG, or WebP image up to 5 MiB. Your browser prepares a PNG copy using the same process as comparisons. The preview shows that copy; pressing the assessment button sends it through Aijev to TypeSafe for Jev.

Jev assesses visible signs of AI generation or substantive manipulation and returns likely fake, likely real, or inconclusive. The check covers face swaps, composites, added or removed objects, and meaningful local edits or outpainting, whether made with or without AI. Routine cropping, color or exposure adjustments, and minor retouching alone do not count as fake. A likely real result supports an authentic photographic scene without substantive manipulation; it does not certify authenticity or mean the image is completely unedited. The model can return inconclusive when visible evidence does not support a judgment. The result includes classification probabilities and model-reported confidence, with no written rationale.

Jev image input is experimental. This is a model’s visual judgment, not verified provenance or a calibrated accuracy rate. Aijev does not verify AI watermarks or C2PA credentials. Comparisons and image-origin assessments share five request attempts per IP in any rolling 60-minute window.

Start with two images you can share

You can use Aijev without an account. Comparisons and image-origin assessments send your prepared images to Jev at TypeSafe, so review how Aijev handles uploads before submitting private material. Aijev works with existing images; it prepares copies for Jev but does not offer creative editing, merging, or image generation.
